I’ve always known that when you give up hope, you have nothing.  The search for hope is what brought me to that first meeting.  WHY did I keep stuffing food in my mouth?  Why couldn’t I win the fight against food? 

I remember hearing somewhere about O.A. and that led me to the Internet.  I took the 15-questionnaire that was on their website (www.oa.org) and was perplexed that I had answered yes to almost every question.  I knew that if a questionnaire like this existed, this meant that others had to be fighting the same fight I was.
