Minutes Approval
The following
corrections were made to the July minutes:
1) Officers in
attendance were added to the report.
2) Under Old
Business, the $15 answering service was clarified as South Bends answering
service.
3) Laura L. is
in charge of the committee for manning the boutique at the October Region
V Convention.
The minutes were approved as corrected.
Committee Reports
Telephone: Dee had three calls, Kathy had five calls and Donna
had one call.
Newsletter: We will continue the newsletter as is for now. Kevin
started an on-line newsletter with a few articles included. We discussed,
voted and passed a motion to add more to the on-line newspaper. Kathy brought
in the intergroups typewriter and a computer she didnt want.
Literature: Nothing new locally.
Publicity: No change. Diane Miller, Secretary for Region V, notified
us that the Saturday night meeting at the November 2000 Region V Assembly
would be an open meeting. This should be publicized wherever possible and
we will request 150 flyers for advertising.
Old Business
Outreach Committee: No one was able to visit the Decatur meeting
last month. We will try for another date.
Insurance: There was little interest in the insurance. Kevin
suggested that we let it ride.
PO Box Key: We still have no key for the mailbox.
Sharathon: Marilyn has a contract with Halls for March 24,2001
for our Sharathon. There is no deposit. There is some question of a $125 room
rent for the luncheon room. Arrival and set up will be 8-9 a.m.
New Business
November Elections: We need nominations for officers; Suzette volunteered
to chair the nominating committee. Deb and Dale will help. If you can help
fill the offices please contact any of these three.
